Amuletum
This work evolved from a process of discovery, the collection of ideas and found materials. In each new work they are questioned against each other. There’s always a dialogue.
The diversity of techniques, imagery and collected objects enable me to create works, equated with the item of ‘amuletum’.
The human and animal destiny in our moving vulnerability is frequently chosen as subject, ánd it’s something of all times and cultures.
A kind of ‘Wunderkammer’ arises in an atmosphere of melancholia, loneliness and mortality.
The set starts from my collection of objects. Here I can cross a lot of borders in time and space.
Some of my work refer to my interest in the art history and in other cultures. Others to my travel experiences, to my religious adventures and in that way they get a symbolical meaning.
